It is so hilarious that you keep wanting to play just to see what they came up with next. The theme of this game is what really draws most people to the game because it follows the everything is guns shtick very straight. The best part of this game for the time-starved is the ability to quickly restart a run when you die and it gives the game a real "one more run" feeling that is greatly appreciated. As you progress through the Gungeon, the player will unlock more weapons to use on future runs. Each of the 4 characters play in an almost identical fashion with the exception of their starting weapons and items. The game plays with a twin-stick style gamepad layout and it is very comfortable and easy to get to grips with but very difficult to master. It is a 1 or 2 player game that is a mix of bullet hell and rogue-like dungeon crawling. Select a hero or team up in co-op and battle your way to the bottom of the Gungeon by. Good thing is that you don't need to understand any of it to enjoy the game.
